On the beach over the sand: one of the most the most romantic settings for wedding ceremonies in Cancun. Wedding set up is on the sand, set against sparkling turquoise waters.

Caribbean Terrace: 6 small terraces overlooking the ocean, below is a lawn perfect for receptions and dinner.

Pool Garden: This unique Beautiful Garden is located beside our pool area surrounded by waterfalls and palm trees.

Caribbean Fountains: 6 Mexican Caribbean Fountains to hold your events. Several plants around the fountains give a nice touch to this area. It is considered one of the most private area between them.

Gazebo: The most elegant and perfectly located site for your Wedding Ceremony, facing the ocean and located between CasaMagna Cancun Resort and our JW Marriott Resort & Spa.

Requirements To Be Married In Mexico

A civil wedding in Mexico is fully valid for legal purposes in the USA and other countries. It is performed by a Governmental Official of the Registrar Office. Bride & Groom receive a Legal Marriage License.

DOCUMENTS REQUIRED:
In order to get married in Mexico Bride & Groom and four (4) witnesses should be in Cancun at least 3 full business days before the Wedding.

Please, consider the following Mexican Holiday Days: January 1st, February 5th, March 21st, May 1st, September 16th, November 20th, December 25th, December 31st.

In order to have a Civil Ceremony in Cancun- México Bride & Groom will need to consider the following requirements:

  • Original and copies of Passports
  • Original and copies of Tourist Cards
  • Originals and Apostilled copies of Birth Certificates - Apostilled by the State Registrar of the state your Birth Certificate was issued from (the State you were born).
  • Final Divorce Decrees or Death Certificate, if applicable, original and Apostilled copy. These documents need to be translated by an authorized translator.
  • Blood Test & Medical Certificate taken in Mexico
  • Four Witnesses (they must bring their Passports and Tourist Cards- original and copies). These can be friends traveling with you, or alternatively any of the employees can act as witness for them.
  • Fill the corresponding Marriage Application: Names, Address, Occupation, Ages, Nationalities, Marital status of Bride & Groom, Parents and 4 Witnesses.
  • Bride & Groom and the 4 witnesses must present all the documents and sign this document at least 3 full business days before the Wedding.

APOSTILLE: The Apostille is a certificate that authenticates the signature of the public official who has signed the document, therefore the document is recognized as legal without further evidence in another member state of the Hague Convention. The Apostille must be requested in the country where the Document was expedited.

TRANSLATIONS: Some documents such as Divorce Decree, Death Certificate or Deed Pool (change of name validation document) must be translated into Spanish before they are taken to the Judge’s Office. Please, be advised that official translations take 48 hrs. to be done. Therefore, in order to have a Civil Ceremony with your documents translated in Cancun you must be in Cancun at least 5 days before the Event. (2 days for the translation, 3 days for the delivery of the paperwork in the Registrar Office)

BLOOD TEST: Mexican Law requires a Prenuptial Blood Test for Bride & Groom in order to detect deceases such as HIV and Syphilis and to verify the Blood Type of the couple, as well as a Good Health Certificate. The test must be taken in Mexico. The Judge’s Fee includes an appointment with the Certified Chemical Doctor to take the Blood Test in your Hotel Room.
