When one leaves Puerto Vallarta after even a short stay one feels a little like one is leaving family behind. That local friendliness along with the safe feeling one has everywhere in Puerto Vallarta, make it a great destination. When walking the length of the Malecon on a Saturday or Sunday night when thousands of local residents spend their evening together a U.S. visitor will feel as safe (maybe safer) than on many streets in any large U.S. city. Puerto Vallarta offers the best of the old world and best of the new - with many wonderful restaurants offering some of the best dining in all of Mexico.

When one couples the features of the city with the features of the Marriott Casa Magna, a group...or a couple has the makings of the finest week they could spend anywhere. The Marriott offers a great location - close to the airport, the Marina and a short taxi ride to downtown. A visiting dignitary would be at home in any of its redone and newly appointed, state-of-the art sleeping rooms. Public areas, the new Spa and revamped restaurants (including 5-star culinary quality and presentation) offer the touches and comfort of home away from home. The frosting on this cake is the staff - who not only make you feel at home, but leave you with the feeling that you are leaving home when you head to the airport on departure day. We totally enjoyed our stay in Puerto Vallarta.  The Marriott CasaMagna Resort and Spa is beautiful – so convenient to the airport and right on the water.  Our room had a view of both the pool and the ocean – with exquisite bougainvillea lining our balcony.  Everyone from the bellmen to the housekeeping staff and spa attendants was warm and welcoming.  We also enjoyed the town of Puerto Vallarta itself, with all the art galleries and local artisans showing their wares.  One evening we enjoyed a boardwalk show depicting traditional Mexican dance.  It was just lovely.  The PV restaurants were a pleasant surprise – excellent food, beautiful ambiance and reasonable prices.  Our only complaint was that we didn’t have more time there!

My first visit to Puerto Vallarta was one that I will never forget thanks to the Marriott CasaMagna Resort & SPA.  I was recently visiting Puerto Vallarta on business and was very surprised and excited to see that the Marriott CasaMagna was located on the Pacific Ocean.  To be able to open your balcony and listen to the ocean made for a nice retreat after a long flight.  This property is one of the most relaxing that I have visited in quite a while.  As a person who travels quite a bit and has visited many properties, I can say that this Marriott property is definitely in my top three. The rooms were clean and inviting, the staff always had a smile on their face and willing to assist.  Even with the language barrier, the staff was still able to assist me in a timely manner.

My only suggestion would be to offer a smoother process of finding your driver once you clear customs.  We were a bit confused as to which counter to approach and was bombarded by staffers of various “Time Shares” in the area.  I have recommended this property to my company for future business and look forward to visiting the property again in the near future for vacation.

Amoena had a sales meeting at the Casa Magna in January, 2009.  We chose an all-inclusive package which suited our needs.  The hotel employees were all very welcoming and eager to help.  The food was consistently fabulous in all the restaurants we had included in our package.  The location was absolutely beautiful and it was very easy to get downtown for shopping and sightseeing.  We hope in the future to return for another meeting.   It was the best meeting we have had in years.

I just wanted to let you know what a fabulous time I had at your hotel. From the moment we arrived at the airport, your staff was prompt and assisted us with our baggage. They helped us get to our location safely and we were able to start on our fun filled vacation. Our accommodations were very clean and we loved the “round the clock” attention. The hotel staff was very friendly and I was especially appreciative of the staff at the front desk that helped to book my excursions for the week.

I also want to give special thanks to Kelly DeWeese for all her help; we referred to her as our personal activities’ coordinator. She was very knowledgeable about the tours since she had taken most of them herself and was able to offer different options for everyone in the group. She always had a smile on her face and a warm greeting, no matter what the time or the question we may have had. She is a wonderful asset to your Hotel and she made us feel very special. Thanks so much for your help Frank. We have a wonderful time, and I think Misgana and I both agree the CasaMagna will always have a special place in both our hearts from now on.

We felt completely safe at the hotel and we got numerous compliments from our friends and family as well as people who attended our wedding from their balcony! Not to mention the folks at the HVAC convention who abandoned their event for ours! We amazed so many people and we received many compliments that our wedding was the best wedding they had ever been to! Our friends Martha and Randy are even considering getting married there!

We love Mexico and we love Cancun. Even family who had never taken vacations before loved it. One of our groomsmen and his wife had never taken a honeymoon nor a vacation (5 kids at home) and she cried when she talked about how thankful she was that we gave her the opportunity to see Cancun. My bridesmaid had a awesome time and we are most happy about the wonderful impression everyone now has of Mexico and that is not one that has anything to do with the drug cartels which seems to cloud Mexico's perception to inexperienced travelers.

You can believe we will be back and we will try to stop by and say hello if so! Please thank Mariel as well, she gave us a wonderful first impression of the CasaMagna and the time you guys were willing to put towards our wedding. That impressed so much! She spent almost 2 hours touring both facilities with us and answering so many questions. And Frank, I cannot say how impressed I was with your help and with your attention to detail. You are obviously great at what you do and we are very blessed to have found you guys!

Thank you so much for all your help and to make our day so special and so unique. The Brazilian drummers were AMAZING! We thought there would be 6 fire dancers and had no idea about the drummers! Us being all African's at heart, LOVED IT!

I wanted to thank you and the entire staff at the CasaMagna for the fabulous event that our group has just concluded there in Cancun.  The whole experience was absolutely perfect.  The entire staff there at the resort from the bartenders, waiters, housekeepers and grounds staff all the way up to the chef and folks in the resort offices could not have been any nicer, friendlier or more accommodating.  I recognize that handling a group of 200 people like ours is filled with opportunities for error but there were none.   Everyone was able to dynamically adapt to any situation so that it was a totally seamless experience for the guests.

Many folks had questions before the trip as to the safety of traveling to Mexico at this time.  Many of my guests commented to me that at no time did they feel as though there was a safety issue during their stay.  The security at the hotel was wonderful and everyone felt comfortable as they went in and out of town whether it is on the bus, walking or using a private taxi.  One only needs to take normal precautions and exercise common sense to avoid any issue.

I am looking forward to returning to Cancun in the near future with my family.  Please express my thanks and appreciation everyone at the CasaMagna.
