Frenchman’s Reef—The Star of St. Thomas
Voted “Best Resort Hotel” and “Best Resort with a View” by readers of Caribbean Travel & Life, Frenchman’s Reef & Morning Star Marriott Beach Resort is the star of St. Thomas.
Known as the “Window to the Caribbean” because of its sweeping views of spectacular Charlotte Amalie Harbor, Frenchman’s Reef is the largest and best-equipped meeting facility in the U.S. Virgin Islands.
Once a haven for traders and pirates, the island of St. Thomas features gorgeous beaches, lush mountains, exotic marine life and the world’s largest natural-reef aquarium. At Frenchman’s Reef & Morning Star Marriott Beach Resort, we work with groups to customize an agenda that combines the best of St. Thomas with the finest meeting and event facilities for a one-of-a-kind island experience.

Day One:
Your group is greeted at the airport with cold rum punch, steel-pan music and a welcome song from local children. Guests refresh with scented towels aboard air-conditioned vans en route to Frenchman’s Reef — a six mile-ride past stunning views of Maegen’s Bay.
Upon arrival, they enjoy island drinks, hors d’oeuvres and a three-piece native band at a private registration before retiring to their rooms to prepare for their reception. In the evening, a “Taste of St. Thomas” introduces them to exotic fare and entertainment, from conch fritters and curried chicken to fire eaters and fortune tellers

Day Two:
After an American-style breakfast at the private Sunset Grill overlooking Charlotte Amalie Harbour, it’s off to an exhilarating Piña Colada Regatta, where teams compete on catamarans, complete with water guns to enhance the excitement. Groups make flags, dive for spirits and have a photo hunt before cooling off with cocktails on their sail home. Dinner is a festive “dine around” of the island’s best restaurants.
Day Three:
A leisurely breakfast at Sunset Grill is followed by a one-hour sail to Jost Van Dyke, British Virgin Islands, where guests arrive to a hearty beach barbeque and group games. During “Sand Scrabble,” a helicopter drops hundreds of tennis balls on the beach. The team that makes the most words wins! The group sails back to St. Thomas just in time to see the magnificent sunset.
Day Four:
Guests spend the day their way, from diving, fishing, parasailing and golf to spa services, shopping and sightseeing. They can visit Coral World Underwater Marine Park and the Atlantis Submarine, or ride the Paradise Point Tram; take day trips to St. John, Tortolla, Virgin Gorda or more than 50 other islands; or simply lounge seaside on our stunning Morning Star Beach.
Day Five:
The staff lines up on departure day to give guests hugs and warm wishes for a speedy return to St. Thomas!
